I have always worked hard. I was in masonry construction since 1972. In the late 90's I got into house remoulding. It was easier work and I really enjoyed it. For the last few years I have been working as a wheelchair escort for the local bus service. March first this year I slipped and fell and hurt my back. I am now looking at back surgery. I will soon be 63 this June and I can tell you hard work won't kill you but it can really hurt you. LOL. Still Totally ADD

"Hard work never killed anyone," or "I have to give up knitting."
by compound complex ingreetings, my aging friends:.
it's not really a funny subject, our getting old and our bodies falling apart.
sure, as the saying goes, hard work won't kill you, but it can wear out your body.

It won't be to long from now that all the men in the WT cult will have to wear a beard because of new light. It will show how different we are from the cults who are clean shaven. Still Totally ADD

Gods Government should reside in Beth Sarim
by TheWonderofYou inawake!
according to this watchtower prophecy proclaimed since 1929 by the 2nd director of jehovahs witnesses j.f.
rutherford - name-giver of "jehovahs witnesses" - actually gods government or gods kingdom should have its earthly visible presence located in san diego california.. as most jehovahs witnesses are forbidden to read this information here on internet please inform all jehovahs witnesses you know but secretly about this scandalizing false prophecy of its founder.. the chapter vi of the book "salvation" from 1939 is entitled "god's government" and one paragraph is dedictated to the san diego headquarter of the future earthly goverment, where faithful resurrected servants of god were awaited to act as princes on earth and execute power in this thesis of goverment.

I love how they said the house has already served it purpose. How nice of them to acknowledge that. What was it used for? Was it used for keeping Rutherford the drunk out of view of everyone until he died? Of course this is all old light and we of the pure faith don't believe this any more for we have new wacky things to believe in. I bet the people of San Diego didn't know how important of a place they live. LOL. Still Totally ADD

This morning I woke up from a good night's sleep to a horrible nightmare. As soon as I woke up I asked myself when am I going to get this cult out of my head. As a disclaimer I just want you all to know my wife would never do this because she is a hard fast atheist. Here is the nightmare (I came home to find my wife dress in a red dress. I ask her were is she was going and she said I am going to the memorial and I am running late. I said in a confused voice "are you nuts, why would you be going there. She told me she has reconsider what she has believe and feels the wt has it right. I told her I can't believe what you are saying and further more are you wanting me to go. ). I woke up before I got a answer. What a way to wake up from a good night sleep. I think this dream came up because on Sunday afternoon when we came home there was a wt pamphlet in our door inviting us to the memorial on Tuesday at 9:30 PM. Both my wife and I joked about how late it was and who in their right mind would go to a strange place that late at night. Especially on a work night. Of course when we went to bed last night my wife did say just think the memorial is just now getting started. We both laughed. It just amazing how the control of this cult still effects me even though I have not step into a kingdom Hall for over 6 years now. Anyone else have these silly dreams? I now need to get back to my reprograming. Still Totally ADD

Test yourself...Which Religion Best Suits You, what non religion best suits you.
by Giordano insince we have had so many joining up while others have changed their thinking it doesn't hurt to see where we stand now .. this 20 question test is not the definitive test but it may be revealing or affirming....... find out where your religious or nonreligious comfort range is.. i just took it and my #1 choice was that i was a secular humanist.
being a jw was #24........ way way down the list.. www.playbuzz.com/benjaminbirely10/which-religion-best-suits-you.

New letter about Circuit Conventions accounting procedures
by Hecce ini hope that one of the friends will post the letter soon.
i heard that on 3/27/2017 a letter with new instructions about the accounts at the circuit conventions was released.
the letter seems to adopt many of the corrections that had been suggested here at the forum, among other things during the accounts report they will be no mention of the per capita and the amount due is going to be released only to the elders.

Hence when I was a elder we was always told verbally not to tell the per capita cost of the assembly hall. Now they are putting it in writing. Still Totally ADD

We just moved into a old farm house built in 1900 on 1 acre. The property has woods on three sides. We are only two blocks outside Jamestown NY city limits. It is on a very quiet road. You would never know you are so close to town. Waiting until mid to late May to plant our garden. But I do have hardneck garlic coming up thanks to the warm winter we had. I will be putting up a 20' x 30' green house this year to lengthen my growing season. On our walk today we did see coltsfoot flowers along the road. Which is one of the first signs of spring. So any of our pictures would just show dead grass and no leaves on the trees. Still Totally ADD

Observations From an Ex-Elder Part 3 - Searching for the Lost Sheep
by doubtfull1799 in"what man among you with 100 sheep, on losing one of them, will not leave the 99 behind in the wilderness and go after the lost one until he finds it?
" - luke 15:4. disclaimer: by posting the following observations i am not complaining.
i am happy to be left alone.

1799 your story is pretty common. Same thing happen to me. After severing for 25 years and the last 3 years as the PO not one elder came to see us. My brother who is a elder when he calls me does not even say anything about the WT even though he knows I drop out. I feel those who are remaining as elders are over work and under paid.
